For the Cornwall Gardens Kitchen, Watson & Gabb conceived a refined, furniture-led interior designed to sit effortlessly within the surrounding living spaces. The joinery was approached architecturally, creating a composition that feels integrated rather than installed. Slim-framed cabinetry in stained oak veneer establishes a warm, textural backdrop. Ribbed plinth detailing and matching fluted upper cabinet doors introduce rhythm and subtle shadow, enriching the material palette while maintaining a calm, cohesive language throughout. At the heart of the space sits a sculptural curved island, wrapped in antique brass liquid metal and treated with a bespoke patinated finish. A continuous, hand-sculpted worktop crowns the form, allowing the island to read as a singular furniture piece, both functional and expressive. A custom-designed double breakfast cabinet enhances the practicality of the layout while preserving visual harmony. The result is a kitchen defined by craftsmanship, material integrity and carefully considered spatial designa space that feels as tailored as it is timeless.
